Free Patent Applications
What are free patents?
Free Patents -- one mode of public land disposition thru administrative legalization incomplete/imperfect titles provided for under CA 141 (Public Land Act as Amended under RA 9176 formerly RA 6940)
It requires qualification of the applicant such as:
·Natural Born Filipino
·Occupation for minimum of 30 years
·Not owner of more than 12 Has of land
Applies only to A&D agricultural lands outside civil or military reservation
Land must be free from claims and conflict
Land is disposed by the Government for free
Restriction: Cannot be transferred, sold or alienated within 5 years prohibition period
Fees includes
Application Fee of P 50.00 per parcel/lot and Cadastral Survey cost
Approval Authority:
·PENRO (Below 5 Has)
·RED (5-10 Has.)
·DENR Sec (10-12 Has)
